Meet The Team

Declaring Grace Ministries is directed by Blake and Betsy Ostrom. Blake grew up in the Mishawaka area and was blessed to partake in his large family's traveling ministry while being raised and homeschooled. Blake felt God's calling in his life towards evangelism very early on in his faith and has many years of experience sharing the gospel with others and the trials that are presented in doing so. Betsy (formerly Kinney) grew up in Cincinnati Ohio during her early years before moving to Elkhart with her family as they devoted their lives to full time missions work at SonSet Solutions, a local ministry in the area. Betsy felt God calling her towards missions and towards serving others from a young age and was also raised in a large family who homeschooled.

Blake and Betsy met as leaders for a neighborhood VBS hosted by mutual friends and not too long after they felt God drawing themselves together. Two years later after many changes and trials throughout their lives they were blessed in marriage. They currently reside in the Mishawaka area, Blake working as a career firefighter at Clay Fire and Betsy working as a coach and program director at Inspire Athletics in Goshen. The Ostrom's worship at Betsy's home church McCoy Memorial in Elkhart and enjoy being proactive in a variety of ministries including street evangelism, Checkpoint Bible Camp, and general functions at church. After much prayer and consideration as well as conviction from the Holy Spirit to begin an evangelism based ministry to provide resources to other believers, Blake and Betsy finally chose to obey God's calling for this area of their life and they founded Declaring Grace Ministries.
